The advert for our new Vicar has been published nationally in the Church Times and on the Diocese of Chester website. The closing date is 2nd April and we will be shortlisting candidates before interviewing on 3rd May.

We advertised for someone who:

  • is empowered by the Holy Spirit
  • can build on where we are
  • can shape and help us deliver our vision to engage effectively with the wider community
  • can continue to develop and sustain our existing congregation.

Applicants for our vacancy can find more about St Luke’s, our congregation and the opportunities and challenges for the next incumbent from our Parish Profile which is published on the Diocese of Chester website. If you would like to see the profile please go to www.chester.anglican.org or contact one of the Wardens to see a paper copy.

Sunday services during April will be taken for the most part by Revd Rick Gates. Wednesday services will be led by Revd Alan Overend or Revd Bruce Lamb.

You may have noticed that work has started at the Vicarage to prune the trees and bushes in the front garden. The condition of the house and grounds is being currently assessed by surveyors from the Diocese of Chester. The Wardens’ team is monitoring the house on a weekly basis to ensure that the property is maintained in good condition.

We are making progress in our search for a new Vicar and we are grateful for your support and prayers. Thank you.
