Churchyard Working Party – 9th September 23

The heavy rain and very warm weather at the beginning of September had encouraged the grass and weeds to grow around the ashes’ plots near the mausoleum in the Knutsford Road Churchyard. So, the dedicated group of volunteers who turned up to tidy the area on Saturday 9 th September had plenty of work to do.  Peter, Mary and John have been also filling and tending the flower bed by the new gate during the year to make the entrance look colourful and welcoming.

The volunteers from the working party (pictured from left to right, plus Jayne behind the camera!) are: Ken, Dorothy, John, Mary, and Peter.

Our next working party will be in the Spring and further details will be in the magazine and on the church website.

Thank you to all those who have given their time during this year to keep our Knutsford Road Churchyard looking so well cared for.
