Due to the current coronavirus restrictions, sadly the usual Remembrance Sunday Parade through the village couldn’t take place. However, there was a socially distanced, wreath laying ceremony at the cenotaph in St Luke’s churchyard, for a small number of invited representatives. The usual Service of Remembrance similarly was perfomed online by Zoom for those with internet access.
Holmes Chapel Parish Council encouraged residents to ‘Remember from Home’ from the safety of their own homes the sacrifice made by so many and observe the two minute silence at 11am.
