A new account of the history of St Luke’s Church in Holmes Chapel - don't miss out!

This new book, researched and written by the Local History Group of Holmes Chapel & District U3A, describing the history of St Luke’s, is now complete and being published. It describes the key events and people across the centuries, as well as the many historic details of the building itself and its contents.

The book runs to about 166 pages in A5 format and includes various coloured plates and is priced  at £15 per copy.  All profits are going to St Luke’s Organ and Lighting Appeal (see https://stlukesappeal.uk), managed by the PCC of Church Hulme (the registered charity responsible for St Luke’s Church in Holmes Chapel and which has underwritten the cost of publication).

Takeup of the new book has been excellent and the initial print run of 100 copies quickly sold out.

Further copies have now been printed and so please contact Peter Cotton by email papscotton@sky.com or phone 01477 537491 to obtain your copy.  Cheques should be made out to the PCC of Church Hulme.
