MU Meeting 11th November 2024 – Zentangle
On Wednesday 20th November, Janet Jackson came to teach us about Zentangle. This is a calming therapeutic method of making patterns with a pen – see https://zentangle.com/.
Everyone really enjoyed having a go, even if they thought they couldn’t do it. Janet showed us examples of what we could do, culminating in making a bookmark. It was a very quiet afternoon with everyone being very busy.
We also celebrated Pam’s 90th birthday with a special cake, and she also brought cakes for us all to share.
Our meeting next month will be on Wednesday 11th December – a week earlier than normal due to the 18th being close to Christmas. This will be our usual Christmas singalong to Carols.
However, this time we have also invited two guest speakers: Wendy MacDonald to talk to us about the Community Choir and Steph Kirkham to talk about the Craft Groups she runs.
We no longer buy presents for our Prayer Partners, so bring along a card for them and we will have the usual container for your donations.
