MU Meeting 17th Dec 2025
We always have our Christmas Carols meeting in December. We were pleased to welcome Cathy Atherton to come and play for us as Wendy was attending a family funeral in Scotland.
We chose carols to sing and interspersed them with Christmas memories from years ago. It was a bit slow at first to persuade people to talk, but once they did, then they all remembered Christmases from long ago, or even from living in different countries, which was interesting. Most members could offer some memories or read something that reminded us of Christmas.
I had just been to Vietnam, a communist country, but they still had Christmas trees and Christmas lights everywhere!
Afterwards we had mince pies. It was a really nice sharing meeting.
Our next meeting will be on January 21st and will be our Epiphany service led by Canon Rob, followed by a sharing buffet. Please can everyone bring a SMALL amount of food to share with others. We look forward to seeing you then.
