A small group of 6 of us went to the New Victoria Theatre in Newcastle-under-Lyme to see the play ‘The Strange Undoing of Prudencia Hart’ for our July meeting.
None of us really knew what to expect, and at the interval we all looked at each other (over a cup of tea and a biscuit) and said “What was all that about?!”
The second half was less confusing, and I have to say that the actors were very talented, all taking many parts as well as singing and playing instruments. The effects were excellent as well, but it was a strange play!! It was a lovely evening out with friends, and we all had a good laugh at the fact none of us understood it! Next year I think we will have a buffet in the Church hall – just remind me.
We don’t meet in August so our next meeting will be on Tuesday 10th September and will be entitled ‘Friendship’. Come with your ideas about what you think makes a good friendship.
