We are delighted to announce that we have appointed a new Vicar!

We interviewed on 3rd May and the panel were unanimous in their decision to offer the appointment to the candidate, who has accepted.  He wishes to conclude some matters in his existing parish and so has asked that we delay publicising his move to St Luke’s until early July.  We will announce his name simultaneously here and in his current parish and he will be joining us in late autumn. Alastair and I believe that we have found a very enthusiastic and experienced Vicar for St Luke’s and we look forward to welcoming him and his wife to Holmes Chapel.

During June, Sunday services will be taken by Graham Joyce and we are pleased to welcome Rick Gates again on 16th June.  Wednesday services will be led by Martin Oram, Alan Overend and Graham Joyce.

The consultation for outline planning permission submitted by the Diocese to Cheshire East Council for a new purpose-built vicarage has now closed.   The Council is due to make a decision on the proposal on 4th June.

We are delighted with the appointment of our new Vicar and look forward to introducing him to you all.

Thank you.
