Genesis – October 2021

We were excited to be back in the church hall in September with our new time and changes to the Church service.

We now meet at the Church Hall from 9.45am so we can promptly start at 9.50am and finish at 10.25am. We will then go over to Church for the 10.30am service (reduced to 45 minutes with a greater mix of modern worship songs and more of a ‘screen culture’ style service). There will be a pause in the service after 20 minutes if you want to take your child/children home.

There is no expectation that they stay for the entire service, it is what best suits you and your family. Holy Communion will now only be offered at the 2nd Sunday in the month (at 10.30am service) but at every 9am Sunday service.

We will be encouraging hand-washing at the start and end of Genesis sessions and will have windows open for adequate ventilation as well as hand sanitiser available.

As usual the Autumn term for us at Genesis is one of our busiest and this year will be no exception as we plan to do all our activities virtually over Zoom. This will include harvest, Operation Christmas Child and Mary’s meals, Remembrance, Christingle, and our nativity. As usual there will be no Genesis on the third Sunday.

Please bring your filled shoe boxes and back packs to the Church Hall before we pack extra boxes /bags from donated gifts.

Now we can be back together let’s make the most of the opportunities we have to share, worship, and grow together. A great year ahead where we can ‘Come to Christ, Love to Learn, and Learn to Love.’
