Church Electoral Roll – 2024 Revision

The Church Electoral Roll (the Roll) is the register of St Luke’s voting members.  It is the list of those qualified to attend and to vote at the Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) and indicates the real membership and strength of the church in our parish.  Being on the Roll is a way of saying “I belong” – an act of commitment to St Luke’s and to the wider Church. It is also an important statement of witness, and a step along the path of discipleship.

The Roll is revised each year on behalf of the Parochial Church Council (PCC) to allow for additions, change of address and other changes, to be made in time for the APCM, this year being held in church on Sunday 5th May at 10.45am (after a short service at 10.30am).

The 2024 revision will start on Friday 5th April and end on Friday 19th Aprilsee the formal Notice here and in the church porch, which also shows the requirements to be added to the Roll.

If you would like to be added to the Roll and meet the requirements, please ask the vicar or duty warden for an application form after a service.

This opens the way for greater involvement in Church life including voting at the APCM and being eligible to join the Church Council (PCC).  Being included in the Roll helps those overseeing pastoral care at St Luke’s and enables us to mention you by name in our regular morning prayers.

Completed application forms can be returned in church for my attention no later than Friday 19th April to be included in the 2024 revision.

If you are unsure whether your name is already on the Roll, please let me know (tel.  07801 621142; email: )

The newly revised Roll will be published on Sunday 21st April as a list of names here and on the church porch noticeboard so that it can be checked for accuracy.  No other personal data, such as postal or email addresses, is now allowed to appear in published versions of the Roll.

If you have any questions about the Roll or want to tell me about corrections, address changes etc. to the current version of the Roll, please let me know.
