Knutsford Road Churchyard September working-party

Saturday 10th September 2022

Thank you to the group of volunteers who came to tidy around the memorials area for cremated remains in the Knutsford Road churchyard on Saturday 10th September.  We enjoyed dry weather and had a productive morning of gardening and chatter.

Thank you to (from left to right): Charlotte Webb, Dorothy Wood, John Goulding, Peter Humble, Jan Rayner, Mary Humble, Ken Lever, Dinah Wainwright, Kathy and Philip Cornford (not forgetting Jayne Weaver of course behind the camera!)

This was our last working party for this year, but we are hoping to plant some shrubs in October.

Thank you to everybody who has volunteered during this year to keep the memorials area for cremated remains looking tidy and well cared for.

Many of the memorials are carefully looked after by relatives living locally, but hand tidying of the area is still needed every couple of months during the spring and summer to keep the weeds and grass under control. The rest of the churchyard is regularly mowed by our contractors, Clive Nash & Co.
