A big “thank you” to the ten volunteers for their hard work and enthusiasm in quickly tidying the memorials area for interred ashes at the Knutsford Road Churchyard on Saturday 10th July.  They weeded and strimmed around the plots and Rob did lots of mowing in the churchyard extension.  It was good to see the regulars as well as some new recruits.

Pictured left to right are the team: Kathy, Jan, Ken, Rob, Gill, Ken, Philip, Alastair and Charlotte, with Jayne behind the camera.

Many of the memorials are carefully looked after by relatives living locally, but regular hand tidying of the whole area is still needed every couple of months during the spring and summer to keep the weeds and grass under control.

The next Saturday morning tidy-up will be in September.
