Charlotte’s charity challenge for CALM – update

Finished!!

In spite of very difficult weather conditions on August 5th, Charlotte Webb duly completed the demanding 50km South West Ultra Challenge along the North Devon coast and through Exmoor in support of CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), the charity leading a movement against suicide.

Halfway: rainbow in sight

After completing the challenge, Charlotte wrote:

I’m so pleased and gracious at the enormous support and fundraising total. It really did help to drive what was at times a slightly bleak set of conditions. I’m in one piece and recovering well.

Storm Antoni did slightly shorten the course but I think it was still sufficiently challenging!

Despite wading through the sea at one point, and a fairly gusty breeze, the event was well organised and Harry kept my morale up along the route.

Thank you to everyone who supported me and CALM in the challenge!

Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide. Every week 125 people in the UK take their own lives. And 75% of all UK suicides are male.  CALM exists to change this by offering life saving services, provoking conversation and bringing people together to reject living miserably.  If you wish to support CALM,  you can do it here securely.
