Prayers at Remembrance time

Praying Together during Remembrance @St Lukes, Holmes Chapel

O Lord, open our lips
And our mouth shall proclaim your praise.

Let your ways be known upon earth,
Your saving power among the nations.

Blessed Lord, Who has caused all Holy Scriptures to be written for our learning: Help us so to hear them,
To read, mark, learn and inwardly digest them,
That through patience, and the comfort of your holy word, We may embrace and forever hold fast the hope of everlasting life,
which you have given us in our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen

Praying together in the weeks of Trinity

The Lord be with you
And also with you.

This is the day that the Lord has made.
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Salvation and glory and power belong to our God,
whose judgements are true and just.
Praise our God, all you his servants,
All who fear him, both small and great.
The Lord our God, the Almighty reigns:
Let us rejoice and give him the glory.
For the marriage of the Lamb has come
And his bride has made herself ready.
Blessed are those who are invited
To the wedding banquet of the Lamb.

From Revelation 19

Praying Together in the Easter Season

O God, make speed to save us;
O Lord, make haste to help us.

Let your ways be known on earth,
Your saving power among the nations.

In your resurrection, O Christ,
Let heaven and earth rejoice. Alleluia.

Risen Christ,
You filled your disciples with boldness
And with fresh hope:
Strengthen us to proclaim your risen life
And fill us with your peace,
To the glory of God the Father. Amen.
