Genesis information and programme for the Summer Term from 7th May 2023.
Thank you for all your support and encouragement with the Christmas services which were so well received.
Genesis meets on Sundays normally at 10am in the Church Hall continuing until 10.45am. We then join the congregation in the church service to share our learning with them, for prayers, a short sermon and for singing. The service finishes around 11.15am so we can all leave together to enjoy fellowship over a drink and biscuit back in the Church Hall.
The Spring term programme up to Easter is shown below.
As we approach the end of Lent and the glory of Easter, we thought it would be a useful time to update you on a few changes to Genesis post Easter. There is a table of Sunday dates for Genesis until the end of the school summer term below.
We were excited to be back in the Church Hall in September with our new time and changes to the Church service.
We now meet at the Church Hall from 9.45am so we can promptly start at 9.50am and finish at 10.25am. We will then go over to the church to join in the Morning Worship service.
See this latest song/video setting out in simple terms the importance of the Easter message, and share it with your friends. Help them get a feel for the real meaning of Easter.
Genesis returns on Sunday 10th January, again at 9.45am- 10.15am. We are very excited about seeing everyone again on our Zoom account: (the Genesis Zoom access details have already been sent by email to parents.) We have planned a programme of meetings through to Easter Sunday.
As you know, because of the public health restrictions, Church services and Genesis are now suspended and the church and hall buildings are now closed until further notice. We thought you would like to know what is going on using Zoom to keep our CHurch fellowship together and also to have some links to prayers and resources you can use in your families.
As you know, because of the public health restrictions, Church services and Genesis are now suspended and the church and hall buildings are now closed until further notice. Further updates about the restrictions and how the Church plans to adapt during the virus pandemic can be accessed via the church website.
We are now looking towards Easter and beginning to explore what is coming up. Our focus will be ‘service’ and we shall be exploring how Jesus showed service to others and how we too, following His example, can serve others. This will be based on Matthew 20 verse 28 ‘ I did not come to be served but to serve.’
