St Luke’s Brinnington – update, Spring 2024

Our friends at St Luke’s, Brinnington, have been delighted with generous donations from the people of Holmes Chapel area since Christmas time. Thanks to keen word of mouth by unknown donors we have received a constant supply of choice items. As a result, we have been able to deliver new supplies for the Brinnington stalls every fortnight, ensuring their weekly Drop-In has a variety of fresh items for sale.

Suggested donations in excellent clean condition include:

  • Household items, e.g. small airing racks
  • Kitchen items excluding anything sharp
  • Bric-a-brac
  • Clean bedding
  • Children’s clothes & toys
  • Seasonal adult clothes
  • Small quantities of books & magazines

Note: electrical items cannot be accepted, and jigsaws do not sell well on their stalls.

  • Very limited quantities of small furniture in excellent condition are also welcome, such as small chests of drawers, bedside cabinets, small tables (preferably with detachable legs), kitchen chairs, and dining chairs. We check first with the Parish Centre Manager that these can be delivered. Any furniture must fit easily inside a small hatchback car for local transport within the Brinnington community.

If you would like us to collect your donations at a time to suit you, please phone us on HC 535497.

Thank you for thinking carefully about the items you choose for Brinnington as you keep putting others first during these challenging times.
