Parish of Church Hulme St Luke – Annual Church Meetings – Sunday May 5th 2024

These short but important formal meetings of St Luke’s Church will take place in church this year at about 10.45am on Sunday 5th May, after a short service at 10.30am.  Formal notices advising of these meetings are posted on the church porch noticeboard.

Note: the 9.00 am Holy Communion service will take place as usual and communicants are invited to share coffee (real!) and croissants from 9.45 – 10.45 am in the Church Hall with other Church members before the Annual Meetings.

The Annual Meeting of Parishioners to elect the Churchwardens (Vestry Meeting) for the coming year takes place first. Church members named on the 2024 revised Church Electoral Roll of the parish of Church Hulme (published here for review and correction of errors), or anyone named on the local government Register of Electors as living in the parish, may attend and vote at the Vestry Meeting.

The Annual Parochial Church Meeting (APCM) will follow.  This elects lay members to the Parochial Church Council (PCC) and considers reports on important Church matters.  Only those Church members on the 2024 revised Church Electoral Roll may vote or stand for election at the APCM.
